Biography

I Graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, IA in 1965 with a BS in BA. Married Kathie in 1964 (junior year) and she is still beside me even after 43 years! I started out as a retailer in a large department store in Dayton, OH, then on to J C Penney's for 5+ years in different locations. I got into the life insurance business which got me transferred to Kansas City in 1975. Here we raised two daughters and they, their husbands and our 3 grandchildren all live close by. We became active in the community and the Methodist Church (still there, 33 years). Life has been very good to Kathie and me. We are blessed far more than certainly I deserve. We enjoy many friends and serve in many capacities in the community and the church.
Business wise I am a Financial Planner in a local firm here in KC. In Jan. 07 I began a buyout of my business that will take place over a 5 year period. I am still very active in the business as I have built many personal relationships with my clients.
Kathie and I have been fortunate enough to have traveled a fair amount to some fun places and through Rotary have had people from more than a dozen countries stay with us over the years. Business, Church, Community and family together take up just about every waking minute. I play lots of golf, like to travel and ride my Harley!
I am hopeful that we will soon be in a position to participate in one of the 60's gatherings.
