Biography
A
good scholarship and warmer climate brought me to the University
of Miami after graduation. I played in the Miami Philharmonic
for my scholarship obligation and made extra money playing
and singing various jobs. After graduating in 1964, I taught
choral music in middle school. I married attorney Ed Rubinoff
in 1967 and we have two adopted children, Robert and Laura.
I became a full time mom and homemaker and engaged in numerous
civic endeavors and several extra curricular activities such
as tennis and golf. In tennis, my husband, a former amateur
player and I were ranked in the state in several age divisions
and won the National Equitable Life Husband and Wife Tournament
in 1980. I taught quilt making at a local shop and have enjoyed
the women I’ve met. I took up golf at the age of 59
when we bought a house in Highlands, NC. I enjoy the game
and have been the Coral Gables Riviera Club Champion three
times as well as winning other tournaments in Miami, FL and
Highland, NC. I’m in good health and look forward to
what the future brings. I’m unable to attend the reunion,
but send warm regards to all.
