Biography
It’s
funny that we are holding our 50th class reunion at Penfield
Country Club because after high school, I was employed there
as the Assistant Pro and Club Manager.
After
graduating from RBI, I worked a couple years at Lincoln Rochester
Bank.
For the
past 46 years to the present, I have been a life insurance
salesman with whatever company is best for my clients.
I have
become known for my fundraising activities for numerous charities,
and have served as Past Chairman of McQuaid’s BASH;
Past Board Member of Strong Children’s Hospital; and
Past Board Member of Wilmot Cancer Center.
Hobbies
have been many, but the ones that I most enjoyed are:
my extensive sports memorabilia collection; raising and showing
aquarium fish; currently, my hobby is bonsai trees and my
Japanese garden. My passion for bonsai trees has taken us
to Japan and Taiwan, and I am currently Treasurer for the
Bonsai Society of Upstate New York.
My wife,
JoAnn, and I have been married for 40 years and our son, Ron,
Jr., graduated from Syracuse University and is a licensed
architect in Florida.
I am looking
forward to seeing everyone and having those who did not sign
my year book in 1960, sign it now (50 years later) –
it may be your last chance!!!
